Producer

It all started when…

I got an audition to play a stereotypical gay man in a short film. The script, written and directed by individuals outside the LGBT+ community, reduced my character to a stereotypical gay caricature. That experience fueled a desire within me for a more significant role in shaping new media. Whether I was crafting the words myself or actively involved in development meetings, I craved creative control from the very start.

There was no other option, I was determined to become a producer.

Coincidentally, that was also the same time met Alex, Kaleb, and Max. Upon meeting these similarly-motivated guys, we knew that the only next step was to start a production company of our own: 4085 Productions LLC. 4085 Productions is a USC student-run full-service production company that specializes in short and feature films of all genres. We create meaningful, artistic content at a fraction of the cost, at double the speech. For more information on 4085 Productions, click the button below!

Breathe

“Do you ever feel like you’re drowning?”

Breathe follows the story of a week in the life of Jaime, an eighteen year old non-binary adolescent. Throughout the week Jaime’s struggles with mental health, addiction, and relationships are pushed to the forefront as they come to terms with who they are.

Jaime’s life is illustrated in a series of flashbacks through their ongoing psychiatry appointment. As the appointment commences Jaime’s psychiatrist inquiries on how their week was. Jaime launches into how the week started, explaining how they went from "ok" to the immense distress of a full-body panic attack.

Breathe was an Official Selection at the San Diego Black Film Festival. Once it is done with the festival circuit, it will become available to the public!

Stay tuned to see where Sore Throat ends up! It will be made available to the public once it is done with the festival circuit.

All Alone Together

Jordan Rice - EP/Producer/Actor

All Alone Together is 4085 Productions LLC premiere feature film. AAT follows a tormented director who becomes maddened by the success of his own work.

Aside from having a supporting role in the film (Tyler/Fletcher), I produced this feature film by acquiring and managing $13,000. I oversaw a cast of over 30 speaking character (and over 50 extras), a crew of 15 devoted USC students, over 40 different unique locations, across 35 shoot days. This film was made with literal blood, sweat, and tears by everyone on the team.

All Alone Together will begin its festival circuit in October, 2023. Stay Tuned.
